How to Download and Get Started with Ledger® Live
Step 1: Download Ledger® Live
- Visit the official Ledger® Live website at Ledger.com/Live to download the software.
- Select the correct version based on your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android).
- For desktop, download and install the application. For mobile, find it on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
Step 2: Set Up Your Ledger Hardware Wallet
If you haven’t already set up your Ledger hardware wallet, follow these steps:
- Connect Your Ledger Wallet: Use the provided USB cable to connect your Ledger hardware wallet to your computer or mobile device.
- Create or Recover a Wallet:
- Set up a new wallet: If you’re new to Ledger, follow the prompts to create a new wallet and establish a PIN code.
- Recover an existing wallet: If you’re restoring a previous wallet, enter your recovery phrase (24 words) when prompted.
Step 3: Install Cryptocurrency Apps
Once your Ledger device is set up, Ledger® Live will prompt you to install the apps for your desired cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.). You can install apps directly from within the Ledger® Live interface.
- Open Ledger® Live and select “Manager” in the sidebar.
- Browse and install apps for the cryptocurrencies you want to manage on your Ledger wallet.
- Follow on-screen instructions to complete the app installation process.
